Section 16 A/D Converter
16.4.2
Select scan mode is selected when A/D conversion is to be performed repeatedly on a single
channel. This mode is suitable for constantly monitoring analog input on a single channel.
A/D conversion is started when the ADST bit is set to 1, according to the specified conversion
start condition. The ADST bit remains set to 1 until cleared to 0 by software. During this time,
A/D conversion is performed repeatedly on the selected input channel.
When the first conversion operation ends, the ADF flag is set to 1. If the ADIE bit is set to 1 at
this time, an ADI interrupt request is generated and A/D conversion is temporarily halted. Clearing
the ADF flag to 0 when conversion has been halted by an ADI interrupt request will restart
conversion. The ADF flag is cleared by writing 0 after reading ADCSR. (It can be cleared with the
BCLR instruction.)
Figure 16.4 shows an example of A/D converter operation when AN
mode.
